Dredging of 10 Drainage Tanks on Panggang Island Completed

The Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has completed dredging at 10 drainage tanks within residential areas in RW 01 and 03, Panggang Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district.

Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Head, Mustajab said, dredging was conducted on drainage tanks connected along 20 meters with four points in RT 07/01 and six locations in RT 06/03.
"This is done because the drainage tanks is blocked by mud and trash. When heavy rain occurred a few days ago, they could not hold the water optimally," he expressed, Monday (6/23).

"This work involves seven personnel. They have managed to pick up five sacks of mud and trash from the drainage tanks," he explained.
He hoped that it could help restore the flow of water without blockage
"Residents, please do not litter. Let's keep the control basin clean and free of blockages," he asserted.
The work received appreciation from one of the locals from RW 03, Panggang Island Urban Village, Jamaliah.
"Hopefully, the water can flow smoothly again and increase the capacity of the channel," he stated.
